1933 Shaw "Du All" |
|
|
|
This air cooled tractor was donated by
the late Dobie Sutton of Crowville Loui-
siana. Mr Sutton was a personal friend
of Dave Pearce. It was restored by the
Dave Pearce Foundation. It is a small
"truck patch" or garden tractor.
The Shaw Company of Galesburg,
Kansas also made kits to convert T
Model and A Model farm trucks into
tractors. (I have often wondered where
the expression "Truck Patch" came from.
Could this be the source of the expres-
sion? ) The effort was unsuccessful
because the truck's cooling systems
were inadequate for heavy tractor type
work.
Shaw's core business was hand push
plows. The Shaw company also pro-
duced the "Peppy Pal." A small iron
wheeled, walk behind, garden tractor. |
