This 16 inch grist mill was probably built about
the time of WWI. Williams produced no mills
after 1924, when it was purchased by Meadows.
Mills on this design are still being produced by
Meadows Mills. This mill was marketed by Fair-
banks-Morse and its logo is still faintly visible on
the side above the drive shaft.
 
The original "bolter" or sifting mechanism for this
mill has been lost over the years as has the blower
that helped to clean grain entering the mill.
 
We have restored the two replacement sifters built
by Jim Rolfe, and hope to create an authenticly
designed bolter at some point in the future.
